Program Experience:
ベ Tier III Data Center Architecture Experience - Recently worked on a Tier III data center of 20,000 sq ft. or greater as a design lead/architect for their role.
ベ Active/Active Data Center Design Experience - Recently worked on designs for two active / active data centers providing various levels of continuously available services.
ベ Major Infrastructure Consolidation Experience - Recently worked on data center designs that included major consolidation of IT infrastructure across the enterprise.
Business:
ベ Executive Communication and Advocacy 。V Developed all presentations for the designs, defined benefits/features/costs, and obtained executive and stakeholder buy in thru effective communication and advocacy
ベ Design Standards and Policies 。V Developed standards documents based on industry best practices to support all designs, obtained buy in for standards, and published standards within the enterprise. Inclusive of ISO27001, HIPAA, PCI, IRS, FBI standards and policies.
ベ Design Process and Management - define the design process/methodology for all designs work based on industry best practices, managed the design process, and provide oversight for the design process. Inclusive of best practice life cycle design models.
Technical:
ベ Clear understanding of Information Technology concepts and principles
ベ Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and routing concepts required
ベ Firm knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, and other local Government and Federal regulations
ベ Proficient on TIA standards for datacenter cabling.
ベ Proficient in NFPA 70 for datacenter operations and infrastructure.
ベ Knowledge of frameworks and design patterns relating to SOA,WOA,REST, data warehouse, and web transactional systems
ベ Extensive knowledge on Disaster recovery strategies, business recovery strategies. Must assist in developing migration strategies for business recovery for Government agencies.
General Experience:
The successful candidates should have 10+ years experience in managing advanced architecture and design teams for large scale enterprise infrastructure projects.
Process:
ベ Experience in security design development five phases cycle, specification, design, development, testing and maintenance
ベ Ability to research and design innovative architectures meeting stringent flexibility, resiliency, scalability, energy-efficiency and other requirements of large, critical infrastructures.
ベ Innovation mind-set and follow-through innovation cycle (feasibility study, design, develop, experiment, deploy, validate)
ベ Technical Project planning and technical team management experience.
Technical:
ベ 8+ years experience in IT leadership and architecture and/or engineering (middleware and/or infrastructure) required, including previous experience as lead engineer or architect on multiple large-scale product or enterprise designs.
ベ 8+ years of expertise Active-Active datacenter networking infrastructure design.
ベ 8+ years of experience in software, database platforms, and middleware platforms.
ベ 5+ years of experience in designing, and implementing Disaster Recovery plans and strategies on the public sector (local or federal Government)
ベ 5+ years of experience in designing solutions for active-active datacenter storage replication, storage backup and archiving (preferred on solutions over 400+ TB of data).
ベ 5+ years of experience as an enterprise infrastructure architect and/or previous experience in the Government industry are preferred.
ベ 5+ years experience engineering mid-range server systems (HPUX, Linux, AIX, Windows) in large environments (1,000 servers)
ベ 5+ years of experience on implementing principles in virtual environments, preferred on VMware ESX environments.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, BS/BA Computer Science or related. Masters degree preferred.
One or more of the following:
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) desired
CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) one or more levels
CCDE (Cisco Certified Design Expert)
IDCP (Institute for Data Center Professionals)
